there is indeed a lively hive of activity last night at the Courthouse Gallery as we celebrated the 2009 Hedland Art Awards, and it was a great night, with over 300 people turning. It was definitely a buzz of people, enjoying good friends, lovely drinks and of course great arts from the Pilbara. Go check it out at the courthouse gallery for the next 2 weeks or more. Something not to be missed, some great paintings and art forms. My favourite of course is from a good friend, Annette, her painting just speaks, the Pilbara to me, complete with dust storm and all.
