Today, as we celebrate one of his proudest days with ice cream filled with chocolate toppings and nuts and topped with fresh strawberries, I know that there will be more of these days as he grows older.

And he couldn’t be happier to celebrate it together with his best mate at school; the boy to his left.

As we get ready to go to the airport yesterday, I can’t help but think that waiting is hard to do but then again the rewards of spending the whole week together as a family is worth the wait every time. I got the car ready and took all the stuff that seem to pile up on the passenger’s seat. Grab grocery receipts, chiropractor’s letter, jumper, beanies and oh look a half eaten coffee lolly, looked around and decided to put them on top of the bench in the garage thinking I will sort it out later. We are running late and sure enough, just as we are nearing the airport, my phone rang. I answered it, put him on speaker and said we are 2 minutes away.

Just as we were going back home, I decided to go past Bunnings and grab a few flowers for the front garden. As much as I am not a gardener, I am enjoying the project and making my front house look fabulous. I just have to remember to water the plants.

We pulled in the parking at Bunnings, went in and was just in gardener’s paradise with all the new blooms and plants around. (I can act as if I am a great gardener every time I walk in garden centres). We decided for some yellow blooms and petunias to go on the front and some roses.

When we got back, I went out and put in the plants. As I look up, the sky began to darken and the wind picked up and blew a rather cold breeze. I hurried and finished the replanting and decided to go in but not before we take some photos of the kids’ strawberries that are starting to go red. Josh didn’t feel like being in the photo so I got my usual model showing off our first fruit from our garden.

As many of you already know I am a big believer in Jesus Christ. I have the privilege of receiving God’s promises, all that He had promised to those who believe in Him. But only a few months ago that I realise that the only one blocking these promises in my life is me.  If I am to receive his wisdom, power, authority, understanding, peace and anything good in my life, I have to freely open myself to these gifts. 

My passion in photography and seeing beauty in everything and around me is because I have accepted His gift of talents and skills as well as patience and wisdom in honing this talent. 

That is why I do not oppose anyone learning this skill from me, if you think I have something to give, even the littlest thing, please don’t hesitate to ask me through e-mail and I will do my best to answer you. 

I am all about giving because the One who knows me gave me so much already and is still giving me abundantly more than I can imagine. 

I am not receiving any more bookings from Port Hedland for the rest of the year and I thank everyone sincerely from the bottom of my heart for all the support and business you have given me in the last two years.

I don’t get many chances on letting my hair down and enjoying a night with friends so it was a real treat to enjoy the night with friends, fashion, jewellery and food. What more can a girl ask for? Oh of course, I got some photos as well. I took the photos without any flash and just used the spotlight as well as making use of the beautiful and colourful lights around the stage.

Oh, Oh, the highlight of the night is of course when I got the Oscar for Supporting Business Award. And because I hardly ever go in front of the camera once I start shooting, here’s a photo of me with ‘Mr Oscar’, thanks to Lyn for the photo.

It’s friday and usually I like to think that its going to be my creative friday but as I soak myself in all of domestic goodness, I reluctantly compel my mind to think of the things that make me smile for a change. So after the work is done, I lay down with a good book and immersed myself in another world.

Just a short note about me, when phones got popular (you know the big chunky (vintage) telephone with big round dial?), my friends always tell me that I am no fun to talk to because I really don’t talk too much (should remind that to hubby who keeps telling me to get off the phone). I really do like meeting people in person and interacting with them.

But with the hustle bustle of everyday life, a few minutes is all it takes for socialising so I recently joined the most popular social networks online and that is twitter and facebook, and because of these, I reconnected with lots of friends who I lost contact with for a long while and I am so thankful. Also, in the hope that these social network will help me connect with clients and friends alike. So I am adding a little something within my blog. This is just a trial so bear with me if things don’t go as planned. Try it out and see!

And because a post is not complete without a photo, here is one I took of my two little angels on Christmas Day!

Port Hedland through my eyes:

I did not have any shoots in October so I could give my whole concentration and time to my family, and for every birthday we celebrate, I realise that time does fly so quickly. Our kids grow too fast that before we know it, we lose the opportunity to share our life, our values, our experiences and our dreams with them in the time they need them the most. I make it a point that every chance I have, I will give them a piece of my life. I realise that while they are young, it is my wisdom, and my life experience to substitute their own that they need. We made a pact to give handmade presents this Christmas, to do 25 days of Christmas crafts, and to spend more time together.

While I don’t want to be too goofy and sentimental on you, I just want to give you the reason for my absense in blogland. Those two keep me up on my toes all the time and I love spending time with them.

So spend time with your family and kids and document the moments with photos.  I have more a thousand photos of each of the kids, I could probably put a montage of their lives day by day. Keep snapping!

Currently I am swamped with work, thus not being able to post more and to be able to share more not just business but also personal stuff. My two kids take most of the time when not taking photos and editing them so in between really, doesn’t leave much for anything, so I can’t wait until the next holiday which is now in planning stage.
