Cuteness Doubled

Meet I. and E. – very adorable girls. It was a wonderful morning to spend time with these two girls. A toddler who is really a great entertainer and showed me around her house as well as shared to me all her favourite toys, and a gorgeous baby with very beautiful blue eyes. Nothing beats being entertained by a gorgeous little girl.

First, we took some photos of I. with her favourite toys.

Then, we took some shots of the two adorable girls, look at that expressions… priceless!

And we finish off with some photos outside on the mat.

And I had to try my fairy dust moment. Magical!

bookworm + shoot

Right from the time when I was still very much confident that my wispy curly fringe is the next best thing to pop music (ok, that was then), I have been so fascinated with the written word. I remember getting into a lot of trouble for not finishing my house chore, or burning lunch or dinner that I am suppose to be watching just because I was so absorbed in what I was reading. I still very acutely recall all the times I saved every cent I had to buy another instalment of Nancy Drew or Sweet Valley pocketbooks, that when I first get one, I would skim through the pages and just smell that wonderful scent of a new book, its crisp pages and its hard covers. I would take care of my books so much that it was so impossible to part with them even when someone borrows them.

From the mysteries of Nancy Drew to the young love of Sweet Dreams, then to more intense literature from all over the world as I finish my English degree to now very different genre of topics, my taste in literature has been immensely limited due to time and current life.

Just as eclectic as I am, I read books from photography, parenting, psychology all the way to life and spirituality. Here are a few that tickle my fancy.

And I had the pleasure of spending the morning with little Issy and her gorgeous little sister, Emily. It is always a fun day playing and getting to know little kids especially little girls. Here is a sneak peek of our session this morning.

updates and shoots

As much as I would love a holiday somewhere exotic or even just out of town, I am still here although not doing much so no excuses for lack of updates in here.

I am well recovered from the surgery and getting back to doing lots at home, although I have left the house to the dust monster that I need to get to work on very soon. I am still taking bookings for shoots in June and July, so ask for the latest promotion by sending me an email through the contact form at the top menu or by ringing me.

Here is the latest shoot I have been busy with apart from preparing for my TAFE workshop in May.

Back to work schedule now that the workshop is finished. I have still lots of editing to do and I will share more photos from the workshop once I got them under control.

I have been commissioned to produce some head shots for Yamatji Maripa Aboriginal Corporation and here are a couple of images from that session.

This is long overdue, way overdue, good thing this is not in my belly or it would be have been delivered long time (okay I think I have been on the computer way too long, I am not making sense anymore). Right, I will go back to the post, to showcase this gorgeous newborn who didn’t behave like one (right M?) Ahhh, it was sweet and short, she gave me 10 minutes of sleep and that was it, but look at her, isn’t she just adorable?

I am sure she makes you clucky.

a young family

I am in my last photo shoots for the year and wow, what a year it has been. Every family I photograph has shared a day in their lives with me to document it through photos and I am so grateful to everyone. This is another young family and what a gorgeous boy they have. It was a great afternoon and the place was special to share it with them as I freeze a moment in time for their keepsake. Here is a sneak peek of that afternoon. Enjoy!

okay, so its not really a very urbanesque (is there a word?) setting but this is what I get when I think about this family. Not the hustle bustle of a city life but more on a very modern chic kind of family. This is definitely one of my favourite family session. They were just so fun to be with. We even got some jumping shots. So here are some sneak peeks from the session.

Ok, after being long overdue, I finally finished the most awaited session photos of all, that is because I have 15 people waiting for their style headshots. And to release the photo, I am going to set it in style with my new slideshow program that I am so loving at the moment, it is so easy to use and I don’t have to download each and every photo in the slideshow which in this case is 106 photos.

saying ‘i do’

When I first decided to go into business with my photography, I have decided that this is just going to be a part-time job as being a mum is my full time job at the moment. I really didn’t think that it will take off as it has and I am very grateful for everyone who has supported me so far. I feel so blessed! Truly, God has been so good to me and my family even with all the pains and heartaches that have come our way, I still feel really blessed, especially for the talent and gift He has given me.

And to witness a really beautiful day with this couple as they profess their love to each other was just wonderful. I have thought that I wouldn’t go into weddings until I go full time but I decided to try one and what do you know, I really really enjoyed it, although, the pressure of the shoot was there, thinking that this was the only chance and a re-shoot is out of the question if something unexpected happened (thankfully there wasn’t any).

Oh, it is always good to be in love. I am so in love with Love at the moment, I’m listening to love songs while editing. So, here is a small sneak peek of the wedding I shot in the weekend.

fun photo shoot

Last Tuesday, I was commissioned to do a shoot of a really great business in town who is proving to be one of the best in real estate. I can’t show much photos but here is just a sneek of the afternoon I had with them. It was really great and I had a great bunch of willing subjects and they are so easy to work with, really.

I am still at my busiest at the moment with shoot after shoot but there are other things happening behind the scene in my personal and family life that when I have the time to really sit down, will share some to you. But for now, enjoy this little sneek.
