the Pinnacles

it has been a long while since we explored WA, and early this month was the right time as we had friends from Malaysia visiting Perth. So one Monday morning, we got up early and took the drive to Nambung National Park to see and enjoy the magnificence of The Pinnacles.

It is so amazing how these rock formations happened long time ago and the sand dunes that are way away from the coast. Makes me wonder what the world looked like a long, long time ago.

Here are some photos from that day.

The above photo I edited to look like it was taken at night, but with a bright moon, since I didn’t want it too dark.

I played around with these photos. I hope I did this amazing place justice.

Port Hedland Photos

In the last two years I have been doing the P.H.otography Workshop here in Hedland put together by FORM and the Courthouse Gallery sponsored by BHP. Last year, I had the honour to be part of the advanced group of 10 photographers to benefit our professional photographers from around the country. I had photo opportunities that I wouldn’t have if doing it by myself, not that I have the time to leave the kids and go around town and take photos. So I have put a slideshow some of my favourite photos from the workshop. Enjoy!

I took a rest editing some photos and diverted my attention to these wonderful Pilbara colours. I took these coming home from photo sessions with clients, and I must say I love sunsets and its colours, although sunrise colours are magnificent as well.
