From one spectacular place to another. After living in the Pilbara for quite some time, I am a bit sad to say goodbye to the amazing place and people but also happy to be living in a place that is opposite to the red dust of Port Hedland. It’s the Swan Valley! Here, there are land upon land of green and lush lawns and bushes. I am quite excited to be able to capture this quite picturesque place.

We stayed for a month in The Vines Resort and of course I have to go explore the surroundings and capture a few shots. My models are no other than my kids, naturally!!

Enjoy the photos and so glad to be back doing what I love doing.

Now that the hustle bustle of my health is slowly getting behind me and I am able to focus fully on my passion, I am so honoured to be able to get together with three other photographers in town to get some profile shots of one another. JHP is going to undergo a few changes to the blog and website next year and to make this happen, I need a few head shots to show everyone the current me and what I love. It’s funny because it felt different to be actually be in the other side of the lens but I had lots of fun.

Here are a few of the photos from that afternoon. Which ones are your favourites? I love them all, they certainly show me some of my goofiness.

Very Soon

This session was really a very short notice as the surprise can’t wait any longer since S just got 2 more weeks to go. We made the booking and confirmed it in just one day and then 2 days later, the session.

It was such a delight to photograph this family, who are very soon to be four. I had absolutely great time spending time with them and getting to know them as well as capturing some images for them. I cannot wait to meet another member of the family. Thank you for including me in this very special time. To M & S, here’s a little sneak peek for you!

And I’ve captured such a great moment in a little girl’s life, when everything is just perfect. Just gorgeous!

Cuteness Doubled

Meet I. and E. – very adorable girls. It was a wonderful morning to spend time with these two girls. A toddler who is really a great entertainer and showed me around her house as well as shared to me all her favourite toys, and a gorgeous baby with very beautiful blue eyes. Nothing beats being entertained by a gorgeous little girl.

First, we took some photos of I. with her favourite toys.

Then, we took some shots of the two adorable girls, look at that expressions… priceless!

And we finish off with some photos outside on the mat.

And I had to try my fairy dust moment. Magical!

Back to work schedule now that the workshop is finished. I have still lots of editing to do and I will share more photos from the workshop once I got them under control.

I have been commissioned to produce some head shots for Yamatji Maripa Aboriginal Corporation and here are a couple of images from that session.

This is long overdue, way overdue, good thing this is not in my belly or it would be have been delivered long time (okay I think I have been on the computer way too long, I am not making sense anymore). Right, I will go back to the post, to showcase this gorgeous newborn who didn’t behave like one (right M?) Ahhh, it was sweet and short, she gave me 10 minutes of sleep and that was it, but look at her, isn’t she just adorable?

I am sure she makes you clucky.

I am in my last photo shoots for the year and wow, what a year it has been. Every family I photograph has shared a day in their lives with me to document it through photos and I am so grateful to everyone. This is another young family and what a gorgeous boy they have. It was a great afternoon and the place was special to share it with them as I freeze a moment in time for their keepsake. Here is a sneak peek of that afternoon. Enjoy!

Ok, after being long overdue, I finally finished the most awaited session photos of all, that is because I have 15 people waiting for their style headshots. And to release the photo, I am going to set it in style with my new slideshow program that I am so loving at the moment, it is so easy to use and I don’t have to download each and every photo in the slideshow which in this case is 106 photos.

style and glamour

It was such a wonderful morning I spent with more than a dozen business women and great gentlemen. These people may have a small business in town but surely they contribute big to the town. I am so privilege to be able to spend the morning with these ladies and of course gents. I really like taking some style portraits, so much different of course compared to taking kids portraits. One, of course, I didn’t really have to be silly to get them to be natural, I just have to go “ooohhh ahhhh, work it, work it baby” (a few of those I suppose). Oh, we were all sober just in case you’re wondering.

And did I say I enjoyed the day? oh yeah! There is more coming very soon. Enjoy your day!

Still gushing over how beautiful and relaxing Ellenbrook Park is, really I am in love. Truly someday I would love to live in Ellenbrook. Here are some more of the gorgeous kids I had the pleasure to photographed on the Easter weekend.

I am so happy to be able to capture these gorgeous little kids and the day in this beautiful park. I am also really glad to be able to play with the 24-70mm 1.8L lens, a truly one amazing lens but guess what, I also had the chance to test the 35mm lens and I think I am finding a new love as well. gush!!!
