Pilbara Wedding: Ben & Sara

The love story is nothing extraordinary, they met on an unusual event at the pub and the meeting was quite short and simple but what happens after that night was more than simple and extraordinary. A love story that is sure to bring some smiles from the grandkids in the future. And I was grateful that I get to share that day with them.

The day started with wind that can blow you away (well maybe me particularly anyway), but just as the time drew closer for the ceremony, it died down a bit to give us an afternoon that is irrefutable not like of a Pilbara day. This made the day very special, surrounded by their friends and family, this amazing couple promised forever and sealed it with a kiss.

B & S, I wish you more happiness and laughter in your lives together as married couple. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

I’ve always wanted to capture the rings in oh so close so I’ve decided to try out my reverse macro lens and capture the bling of the day. I love it!
The details are so yummy, i mean delectable, i mean scrumptious, ok I might be hungry while I’m typing these but just look at them. Just wait until you see the reception. I will post more of that later on.

I love the moment when no one else seems to be around and they’ve only eyes for each other.
After the ceremony, we went to cemetery beach to bask in the Pilbara sunset and take some shots.

Oh yeah, c’mon and let’s rock this party.

I love the first look that Ben gave Sara when she walks in.

The engagement shoot didn’t happen but that didn’t stop us in producing a story of their love through photos. To view the engagement slideshow, click here.

Cuteness Doubled

Meet I. and E. – very adorable girls. It was a wonderful morning to spend time with these two girls. A toddler who is really a great entertainer and showed me around her house as well as shared to me all her favourite toys, and a gorgeous baby with very beautiful blue eyes. Nothing beats being entertained by a gorgeous little girl.

First, we took some photos of I. with her favourite toys.

Then, we took some shots of the two adorable girls, look at that expressions… priceless!

And we finish off with some photos outside on the mat.

And I had to try my fairy dust moment. Magical!

bookworm + shoot

Right from the time when I was still very much confident that my wispy curly fringe is the next best thing to pop music (ok, that was then), I have been so fascinated with the written word. I remember getting into a lot of trouble for not finishing my house chore, or burning lunch or dinner that I am suppose to be watching just because I was so absorbed in what I was reading. I still very acutely recall all the times I saved every cent I had to buy another instalment of Nancy Drew or Sweet Valley pocketbooks, that when I first get one, I would skim through the pages and just smell that wonderful scent of a new book, its crisp pages and its hard covers. I would take care of my books so much that it was so impossible to part with them even when someone borrows them.

From the mysteries of Nancy Drew to the young love of Sweet Dreams, then to more intense literature from all over the world as I finish my English degree to now very different genre of topics, my taste in literature has been immensely limited due to time and current life.

Just as eclectic as I am, I read books from photography, parenting, psychology all the way to life and spirituality. Here are a few that tickle my fancy.

And I had the pleasure of spending the morning with little Issy and her gorgeous little sister, Emily. It is always a fun day playing and getting to know little kids especially little girls. Here is a sneak peek of our session this morning.

a young family

I am in my last photo shoots for the year and wow, what a year it has been. Every family I photograph has shared a day in their lives with me to document it through photos and I am so grateful to everyone. This is another young family and what a gorgeous boy they have. It was a great afternoon and the place was special to share it with them as I freeze a moment in time for their keepsake. Here is a sneak peek of that afternoon. Enjoy!

fun photo shoot

Last Tuesday, I was commissioned to do a shoot of a really great business in town who is proving to be one of the best in real estate. I can’t show much photos but here is just a sneek of the afternoon I had with them. It was really great and I had a great bunch of willing subjects and they are so easy to work with, really.

I am still at my busiest at the moment with shoot after shoot but there are other things happening behind the scene in my personal and family life that when I have the time to really sit down, will share some to you. But for now, enjoy this little sneek.

a quick hello

there seems to be a blur of activities in this household as i stay glued to my pc for some renovations in the blogsite with lots of new stuff. One as you have noticed, i got the new background installed and it looks so cool. i have a love for damask at the moment, luckily we don’t own the house, or you’ll see one on my wall. another thing i’m so excited about is the proofing site and now you can order prints online, i can’t wait until the final touches have been done.

i also had the privilege to meet this adorable little boy this afternoon, i promise to have the sneak tonight but with all the work thats been happening, my pc has gone too slow for me so i leave you with this tiny-little-minute-adorable sneak peek of master jordan. i promise to have the full sneak peek tomorrow with a special twist to my post.
