the big picture

NOTE:  This blog giveaway is now closed. Winner will be announced tomorrow. Thank you for participating.

before I started my journey in photography, keeping and sharing memories have always been my passion, I have kept scrapbooks since I was little and went into scrapbooking full time before the kids came, although now I do scrapbooks just for myself. I have

But for those who are following my blog and are not from Hedland, here is a chance for you to get your hands on this fabulous, awesome book by Stacy Julian. I am giving away The Big Picture for FREE!

All you have to do is leave a comment below about  your favourite memory that you would like captured on camera. (photos) It can be anything. I will choose the winner on Sunday at 5 pm WST.

So I will start; I would like a professional family portrait of my family now while the kids are still young to remind me of our times with them because kids grow up too quick, and I would like to see that in print.

Great idea! I would love a photograph of my sweet babies (Cece, 6 1/2 months, Julius 3 1/2 Years) loving on each other. The way Cece looks at Julius when he’s trying to make her laugh…the way Julius stops dead in his tracks to give Cece a kiss right between her eyes – the perfect fit for his lips. *sigh* They truly melt my heart…

I would love a photograph of my wedding as it will be the beginning of a wonderful journey. Its a day of friendship, love and celebration that I will one day get to show to my children and then their children. A picture says a thousand words so what better way to capture the moment?

I would love a photograph of my dad with my daughters, unfortunately he passed before they were born so he never got to meet them, but im sure he would have loved them as much as mum does and spoilt them rotten! :)

I’d like a really nice, natural photo of my daughter and I. Something I didn’t take with the extended-arm-juggle-camera-hope-for-the-best method. Unposed, candid.

I would love to capture the fun my 22 mth old & the dog have together. I always miss the opportunities myself cos usually I am too busy playing too! They are best friends though & it is a joy to see.

I would have liked some photos from my recent trip to Fiji where we were caught in a cyclone, at sea, and our boat hit a reef and had to be beached to stop us from sinking! But at the time I was petrified and didn’t even think of my camera.

I would love a photo of my daughter and her toy giraffe – she loves that giraffe and takes it everywhere. I would love to capture the love she has for him.

I would love a photo of all of my kids feet all lined up, barefooted in the sand while they are still small.

I have tried many times, with frustration of trying to capture a lovely photo of my 2 Golden Retriver dogs. They think that the camera is a toy for them and jump all over me or sneaking up behind me and eating the treats out of my hands. They are so much part of our family.

My father in law recently had by-pass surgery, he was operated on a special day, his 63rd wedding anniversary, the look of love that they shared after his operation was priceless, made me think how precious gandparents are…my girls are lucky enough to have both sets still…what a wonderful photo that would be..to capture the look of love..young and old!

I keep dreaming as I drive by this abondoned little building nearby my house, of my 5 year old daughter in an old fashioned dress – perhaps in black and white or sepia – just standing outside of it – not paying attention to me. I need to just make it happen…

I would have to have a photo of my two brothers and I together, to give to our parents. Unfortunately we all live in different states, so the chances would be slim… But I know my mum wuld love it!

This book sounds great. I would love to capture my grandaughter’s expressions she has on a daily basis – they make my heart smile :)
